Well the entries have been pouring in but we want more! We’re having such a good time reading about everyones awesome ideas that we’re getting a bit greedy and we’re desperate for some more quirkiness. It’s so exciting to find that more and more brides are thinking outside the square and coming up with original ideas to make their special day that bit more memorable, and I have to admit that Fiona and I have had more than one excited phone conversation where we squeal and giggle over our entries.

So please, if you’re getting married in the next 12 months and you think your wedding has that little bit of awesomeness going on, then why not enter and go into the running to win over $3000 worth of wedding photography. You’ve got nothing to lose and you could gain $3000 extra in your purse to spend on your honeymoon. Why not facebook and twitter letting all your friends know about the competition also.

To enter all you have to do is email us at enquiry@carsonhallphotography.com.au and give us a brief outline of what will make your day different from your average wedding. We can’t wait to read all about it!

Have a great Tuesday!

Firstly can we say a Happy Valentines Day to all our followers. We hope you had a wonderfully romantic day and were spoilt rotten.

We were so lucky that we got to spend our Valentines Day with Candice and Lawrence! Candice and Lawrence were married in September 2009. They had a gorgeous wedding but unfortunately their wedding photos were a little disappointing, which is why we got to spend today with this gorgeous couple. After seeing us photograph her cousins wedding, Candice enlisted carsonhall to do a re- shoot of her wedding day. We were more than happy to help a girl out and I really think that we have provided these guys with the wedding photos they deserve.

When choosing a wedding photographer it is important to view their work, make sure their style suits the look you are going for and ask to see more than just their online gallery. Also keep in mind that cheap doesn’t always mean good. The same can be said for getting a friend or family member to shoot your wedding for you. It’s rarely a good idea. Wedding Photography is an art. One that takes a lot of experience, time, effort and learning to perfect. So before you hire someone to capture one of the most important days of your life, do some research. It’ll save you a lot of money and disappointment in the long run.

Ok, back to today… we started off at Albert River Winery. What a fabulous location for a wedding! After enjoying the lush green grass and awesome sunshine, we moved on to Main Beach where we managed to use the last of the afternoon light. It’s always lovely shooting on the beach at dusk and the Gold Coast certainly has some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia!

Candice and Lawrence, Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. We hope you enjoy your sneak peek and that your photos are everything you wished for.

This little fella just happened to walk in and plonk himself down right in the middle of our shoot. How perfect is he!
