This shoot wasn’t your usual engagement shoot. I guess you could call it an Engagement/Family shoot and lucky for us, they were one very cool family. Pete and Toki are totally into eachother and at the same time, they’re both totally besotted with the gorgeous Leah and Harper, a little boy with the cutest grin we think we’ve ever seen. It was so obvious throughout the whole shoot that they are a tight family unit with a whole heap of love to share.

So we spent the afternoon playing around in chinatown, found some very cool alleyways, got coffee at one of the funkiest little coffee shops we think we’ve ever come across and stumbled upon an awesome, awesome rooftop carpark (and those that know us, know how much we LOVE rooftop carparks).

Guys, we hope you enjoy your preview and we’ll see you Friday when we photograph your WEDDING!!! So excited!

You know the song right? “Little dune buggy, in the sand. Little blue dune buggy, in my hand.” Anyway, you get the idea! Today we did an engagement shoot with Gaylia and David and not only did we have the most awesome location EVER, but David also brought along his beloved dune buggy. Both Fiona and I almost peed our pants at the sight of a bright red dune buggy heading our way. Were we excited? Hell yeah!

It wasn’t just the car and the location that made the shoot though. David and Gaylia are truly something else. They are absolutely hilarious. I’m not talking just funny, I’m talking insanely funny. Never have we laughed so much during a shoot and the whole afternoon was enjoyable from beginning to end.

We came into this Engagement shoot with an arsenal of cameras. Two polaroids, a Holga, a Diana and then our regular cameras. We were really able to push our creative boundaries and I can tell you now, it was exactly what we needed.

David and Gaylia, Thank you so much. 1. For traveling 20 minutes on the highway without a roof and airbags. 2. For braving the bones, graves and unknown animal poo and 3. For giving us the best laughs we’ve had in a very long time. We hope you love your preview and we’ll be in touch soon with the rest of your images.
